Time to get a sort of real life o_O
As some of you know, I have been in service for 6 months in the Austrian Armed Forces. That’s the time every able-bodied male Austrian male citizen has to serve in our country.
I wanted to extend that time by starting a non-commissioned officer career. To be able to do that I planned to undergo an eye surgery cause cause I’m myopically (–9,25 dioptres, wearing contact lenses usually).
Unfortunately there is a stupid regulation for NCO candidates: You can not enter the NCO training if you had an eye surgery in the past! WTF? I could take part in a deployment abroad though, but after 3 years I would have the leave the army, with no change to get promoted or things like that. This means no army career for me!

Maybe the couldn’t think of an otaku as tank commander? Are there any otaku-soldiers out there?

That’s why I have to get a job in the civilian world now. Have sent out application documents to a few companies and waiting for the responses.
Would like to work as a hardware/software salesman or something like that. Having the newest hardware around you doesn’t sound that bad.

And helping noobs to find the right hardware for them and answering their computer questions sure is something that needs to be done. (The clip is not really related but too funny not to be posted.)
