iPhone 3G get!

Finally I found some time to blog about my newest gadget:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

An iPhone 3G 8GB!

Why did I get one? Well, I need a gadget which is able to keep me connected and up to date wherever I may be in the most geeky way xD

No pictures of the un-boxing process available as it took only a few seconds, couldn’t await to check out my first Apple product.

Got a “cheap” rubber cover for the iPhone but I guess I will look for a more stylish one in the next days.

Safari, Mail and Fring (a multi-messenger): A few of the most important things if you are away from home during the week.

As the 3G comes with an built in GPS Module you never get lost again wherever you may be.

Want to check out if you are able to open the curtains in you hikkikomori room without fearing some sunlight?

There’s an app for that too!

Or are you going to mount another shelve for your waifus? Get a level bar for your iPhone!

Although I’m using a 60GB Creative Zen Vision M: Having your fav-songs on the phone is quite nice.

Or do you hear a song on the radio for example and you don’t know the artits, title and so on?

Get Shazam!

Unfortunately the data-base seems to be not-otaku-friendly, cause Shazam isn’t able to tag most of my Anime or random J-Pop songs. But mainstream stuff works fine.

Not that bad for a mobile phone in my opinion. (The pic remindes me that I forgot to take a GSC FSn meido photo session oO)

I guess I don’t have to mention that I’m completely satisfied with my iPhone and it definitely wasn’t the last Apple product I purchased xD

Especially as I’m looking for an laptop. Maybe my second screen has to wait a little bit longer. But why is this stuff so overpriced?

The shown apps are just a few of my installed ones but it’s quiet tricky to find the best ones as there are already over 15.000 apps available in the App Store!

Any fellow-iPhone-using otaku out there who can recommend some useful apps for my iPhone-chan?

    Wanna purchase a Mac? I severely recommend thoroughly thinking it through. Although Mac OSX is one of the few systems which runs smoothly without giving too much attention (Ubuntu would be a second one) and tinkering, you seem to be quite bound to Windows already.
    Switching back and forth between OSes is something I personally hate A LOT!

    I’m quite fond of my Macbook Pro and Mac Pro setup (would be more “fonder” if I finally could afford Logic Pro). As a developer, though, there are some things that are annoying: No Visual Studio (native, that is). Well, they seem to become more and more sluggish with every major release. But as for C++ development, there’s nothing better (yeah, go away you Emacs geeks, tried it, loved it, hated it).
    Further, there isn’t as much freeware around as it’s the case for Windows (naturally). But things are improving since Leopard, I guess.

    Second, the 1500 gold isn’t all. I recommend subscribing a Apple Care plan. Boosts warranty to 3 years. Might be useful, since Apple *hardware* is crappy. Yes. I said it.
    Well, maybe the new unibody notebooks are a bit better, but I miss the old Powerbooks or, of course, the epic IBM (!) Thinkpads…

    @battlecamel:
    I’m thoroughly thinking it trough.
    My Vista runs smoothly too and yeah I’m quite bound to Windows. But I guess a MacBook is a good solution for a portable machine. The price is really high but if you take a look at those HP, Acer, … laptops which come with all those crappy tools which enable crutial things like volume-managment! the price isn’t that high.

    Wouldn’t burn money for a MacPro though. But software like Logic Pro can be used without ordering it, right? xD
    Well, Apple hardware is standard-hardware in a well designed case sold for +200% xD

    Man,man,man your rooms looks more and more like Dannys…
    Now an Iphone,later an Airbook…Be sure to share your later wealth with me.

    This may be a stupid question but isnt the Ipod touch able to do the same just without a build in phone?Might have been cheaper that way

    @Blowfish:
    Eh,am I becoming a Danny-clone?
    I’m thinking about purchasing a Macbook not a macbook Air btw ^_^
    yus the Touch is able to do nearly the same, but my Motorola phone was going nuts anyway.
