And we are wireless, finally!
I just added another device to my desk… a Netgear RangeMax Wireless-N WNR2000 WLAN-Router.
Finally I have ze internets in the whole house, in every room on all floors xD.
Somehow all my devices are black and glossy…
And for ~55€ I have got a device with the following specs:

W-LAN ist ein netter Zusatz, stimmt. Wenn man Notebook oda fürs Klo dann n Handy/PDA mit W-LAN hat, durchaus nützlich.
Aber eine W-LAN only Vernetzung ist mal total kacke^^” Hoffe mal, dass ist bei dir auch nur Zusatz
WLAN is sure useful if u have Wi-Fi-available phones such as the iPhone
and ur collection of devices are sure awesome! ^^

Nein, wie hätte ich denn sonst bis jetzt die Verbindung zum Internet hergestellt? Zwei Rechner hängen per Kabel am Netgear-Router und dieser wiederum am ISP-Router.
Das ist ja klar, dass vorher per LAN die Verbindung bestand^^ Aber hätte ja sein können, dass du nun komplett umgestellt hast.

Also NETGEAR geht mal garnet, hab nur Ärger gehabt mit deren Router (500 bittorrent connections – fail! Press reset button to reboot! -__- ) da die anscheinend so ne miese MTU bzw. wegen NAT-table overload nen lockup hatten. Hoffe aber für dich, dass das Teil da mehr drauf hat *gg*
Außerdem: DHCP im Iphone erspäht, am besten noch SSID broadcast auf on, damit auch jeder Nachbar der mal den WLAN-Stick reinsteckt autoconnected und ordentlich Pr0n saugen kann xD
Stell das ganze lieber mal auf static und WPA um

Es funzt bis jetzt gut… sollte es Probleme geben sind diese sicher hier im burogu nachzulesen
Bezüglich der Sicherheitsbedenken: Zum nächsten Haus sind es erstens “einige” Meter und zweitens läuft mein Wlan auf WPA2!
