I survived the first week in the army!
A quick post/satus message:
Believe it or not… but I survived one week without ze internets!
Surprisingly I didn’t miss it very much, cause you have to think about so much other stuff in the first week.
At the first day I was freaking out about the amount of stuff you have to fit into your locker ^_^
But after a few days you get used to all those things and to the daily schedule.
StG 77 A1 (aka Steyr AUG A1) GET! Cleaning this thing isn’t fun^^
The hardest part is to live without “the community”, your online-buddies and without getting the latest news.
And I guess I don’t have to mention how much work it was to go trough all the mails, RSS-feeds, Plurks and so on when I came home yesterday. Why can’t they have WLAN hotspots @ ze Army? ORZ…

The released subbed Anime episodes from this week are already transferred to my Eee. I need some Fan service during the week too xD.
I will take the train in 3 hours to arrive @ the barracks around 2130 UTC+1. Comments will be answered if I have time during the week or next weekend.

So oder so, du musst jetzt ohne mich weitergehen. Und denke immer daran: Wir glauben an dich. Auch wenn ich vor deiner bildschirmfüllenden Waffe doch etwas Angst habe. Grosse Angst.

Ich schätze den Rest meines Lebens wollen sie mich nicht behalten, oder doch? Komischerweise habe ich mich sozial schon irgendwie eingelebt… das ist das erste Mal das ich mich irgendwie in eine Gruppe eingliedern kann. Wenn man gemeinsam im Eimer ist muss man das wahrscheinlich^^

Soooo groß ist die Waffe übrigens gar nicht, benötigt zerlegt in die Einzelteile nur ca 3/4 meines “Bettes”.
Army. It sucks. I know. But I was not confined for first week but rather first two and a half weeks. :\

Hope everything goes well and you manage to keep sane through this ^^ At least you get leave that’s good. Being without the internet really doesn’t suck that much when you don’t think about it, I’ve gone for long periods of time without it and I was probably better off that way, but losing touch with online friends and communities does suck. At least you’re getting excersize this way, I know I could use some.
